Robert Song's Running

I'm over 50 and been running off and on since 1968. I have run everything from 800m to 10k on the track, to half marathons (PB 1:21 Brisbane 1993) and marathons (PB 2:53 Gold Coast 1985).

Thursday - real slow

9.5k 51:32. HR Avg 130 Max 142 Avg Pace 5:25
Course: Work to Sydney St and Back.
Start Time: 5:55 pm Temp 24C.
Session Type: Easy Recovery Run

Real slow today. It needed to be as my legs were still tired from last night. Out in 25:39 (HR 129) and back in 25:53(HR 132). That's the lowest HR I've managed on a run for a long long time. And all I could think about on the run was Eddie doing his tempo hills session. Glad it wasn't me.

That did sound a tough one for Eddie after his Wednesday long run. I'm starting to think Susan is mean ;)

I did that pace on Wednesday. Interesting, as for me it was a 'hard run' at an Av HR of 148.

HR zone training is working well, huh.

To answer your question on my blog, GCM is main goal for the year - wanting to take ~15mins off last year, and possibly get under 3:30 as well. Also sub 43 10k at easter and sub 1:40 half at Brisb would be nice.
