Robert Song's Running

I'm over 50 and been running off and on since 1968. I have run everything from 800m to 10k on the track, to half marathons (PB 1:21 Brisbane 1993) and marathons (PB 2:53 Gold Coast 1985).

Wednesday 14.4k @ HR 136 Pace 5:27

14.4k 1:18:37. HR Avg 136 Max 144 Avg Pace 5:27
Course: Work to Riverside and Back.
Start Time: 5:15 pm Temp 20C.
Session Type: Sub 72%MxHR Easy Run

No nasty side effects from last night's easy run, so I backed up again tonight with the plan to do the same easy run. What a suprise to be able to do it 2min 13 secs faster tonight at virtually the same HR! This easy running seems to agree with me. Out in 38:40 (HR 136) and back in 39:57 (HR 136). Afterwards, I did some weights and stretching in the gym.

Tonight I started out listening to Radiohead's "OK Computer". This is the first time I have listened to this album even though I bought it about three years ago. "The Bends" is one of my all time favourite albums so it is kind of strange that it has taken me this long to give it a listen. Finished off with Ali Farka Toure's "Savane". With 1Gb of space on my new player, it has taken me a long time to get around to him again. Worth the wait though.
