Robert Song's Running

I'm over 50 and been running off and on since 1968. I have run everything from 800m to 10k on the track, to half marathons (PB 1:21 Brisbane 1993) and marathons (PB 2:53 Gold Coast 1985).

Wednesday 9.8K @ Hr 144 Pace 5:17

9.8k 51:55. HR Avg 144 Max 153 Avg Pace 5:17
Course: Work to Sydney St and Back.
Start Time: 5:25 pm Temp 18C.
Session Type: Easy Run

Yet another easy run. My left leg still feels very tight so have booked in for a massage tomorrow morning. Since they repainted the gym at work on the weekend, it has the foulest smell. A bit like a toxic sludge dump. It is impossible to stay in there for more than a minute without wanting to gag. So have been doing my stretches at home, but sadly no bike or weight sessions are possible.

As I enter this entry, I'm listening to the first Tinariwen album "The Radio Tisdas Sessions" which came today from a recent ebay auction. It is mighty fine listening and was a real bargain to boot.

At least you don't have The Lurgi. I'm finding it a tad tricky running with 40% lung capacity and 0% motivation...
Given your predeliction for Python, I'll assume you also like Weird Al. He has a new album due September. Promises some good satire.A pity the internet-released "you're pitiful" won't be on it due to lack of clearance from James Blunt's label.

Interesting what you have been saying about those leg problems being back related. Then again, I've given up working out what causes injury. Injuries always seem to factor themselves into our systems somehow.
