Robert Song's Running

I'm over 50 and been running off and on since 1968. I have run everything from 800m to 10k on the track, to half marathons (PB 1:21 Brisbane 1993) and marathons (PB 2:53 Gold Coast 1985).

Thursday - In the future our bodies will be shrivelled up but our brains will be bigger.

35:00. HR Avg 116 Max 157
Start Time: 5:30 pm.
Session Type: Gym Bike Intervals

10 minute warm up, then 10 sets of 1 minute hard 1 minute recovery, then 5 minute warm down. Followed it up with some weights and stretching, and icing of the right knee. The knee seems to be settling down a little. I have been icing it three or four times a day.

does this mean we'll look like those martians on "Mars Attacks?" Ack!

I think you're stopping short with your knee. After you ice it, sprinkle it with 100s and 1000s, put a freddo or two on it (facing so they're not lonely) and then a candle.

Your knee sounds dickier than my calf.

I've been finding it difficult to get the heart rate up on the bike. Maybe it's the sitting down factor?
