Robert Song's Running

I'm over 50 and been running off and on since 1968. I have run everything from 800m to 10k on the track, to half marathons (PB 1:21 Brisbane 1993) and marathons (PB 2:53 Gold Coast 1985).

Another solid week. Saturday was the end of the cricket season for Kewell, so I maybe able to get a run in on Saturday mornings now. Hopefully when soccer season starts in a few weeks the games won't start as early as the cricket!

    Hey Robert song.

    Thanks for your recent comments.
Just read your "Womadelaide" post which sounded like a blast.

I like what you said about Martin Hayes (Irish fiddler) and Dennis Cahill (American guitarist) playing their set of Irish music.

You said that they "started slow and built to a wild crescendo."

That sounds like the marathon training schedule you're putting together for the Gold Coast.

    All the best with it.

I'll give you that rest day on Monday - you needed resuscitation from your dessicated state.

Yes, a solid week. Not quite as solid as an Eagle week, but it looks good to me!

    Hope the wife has recovered.

Good to see you got back into it strongly.

So, ever gonna complain about the Brissie summer again :)

Definitely a good solid week RS. If this is what your training schedule looks like already, then it must be rock solid as you get closer to GC.
