Wednesday - smoke on the water

14.5k 1:13:43. HR Avg 138 Max 149 Avg Pace 5:05
Course: Work to Riverside and Back.
Start Time: 5:40 pm Temp 26C.
Session Type: Sub 72%MxHR Easy Run

Just an easy run tonight. Stepped out of from the air-conditioned office, to be meet with a hot steamy night and the smell of smoke. Apparently back burning on Stradbroke Island has left a smokey haze all over Brisbane.

A nice easy run. Out in 36:12 (Hr135) and back in 37:30 (Hr 140). With the return of humid conditions tonight, I once again ssaw the HR creeping up in the second half despite slowing slightly. Highlight tonight was as I ran under the Storey Bridge all the lights were turned on. So the days are shortening, just need to the weather to accept it should be getting cooler as well.

I wondered where that smell of smoke was coming from yesterday arvo.

We were just admiring the Story Bridge the other day when running, its a great structure. It must've been cool seeing the lights come on. Am I right in thinking we have Sally-Ann to thank for that?

Nah, it's getting hotter. About 30 today!

At the Experience Music Project they have an exhibit where you get to play Smoke on the Water on electric guitar. Very clever.

i think all your running is having an effect on the tilt of the earth on its axis. try running all in one direction and then taking a slow train back. see if that helps.

anyway, the autumnal equinox was just the 21st anyway. we're only starting to be tilted more away now. just focus on not pushing the earth in the wrong direction.
